Took this one during a small after lunch walk in the garden. These "paper" flowers (that's how I call them, even though they are not paper, they are real ones) have lots of these spiders, "misumena vatia" or crab spiders (have a few photos of them in my gallery on Gfxartist [link][link][link][link] I really liked this one because the flower almost looks like flames, and if the flower looks like flames and the little (less than 1cm) grasshopper is dying this is his Hell! Hence the tittle!

Desculpa a demora na resposta mas estive "away" do dA. Eu tenho um conjunto de filtros close up da tiffen. São um bocadinho mais caros do que os que estão à venda na Niobo, mas já trabalhei com os da niobo e não há grande diferença.
The colors are just fantastic; I love how the white spider stands out so well against the firey petals and the dark green katydid. I also like how, for a scene depicting a small insect dying a pretty unpleasant and violent death, it seems so stationary, almost serene, in action... again, the contrast is interesting.
I don't think I've ever seen one of the big goldenrod crab spiders (although to be fair I haven't looked for them very hard), but I think crab spiders in general are really cool
